Job opening – UI/UX Designer

As a UI/UX Designer, you will work end to end on development and production of our users digital experiences. You should expect to work directly with Tunnll users, produce mockups and build prototypes. You will be working across a number of different projects such as mobile applications, enterprise client apps, responsive websites, interactive data vizualisation and B2B tools.

 What you will do:

  • Create elegant and simple digital experiences across different platforms;.
  • Conduct user research and analysis, task and concept modeling, information architecture and interaction design and concept/usability testing;
  • Design interactions based on customer insight gathered through market research and usability testing;
  • Create user experience specifications, personas, user journeys, interactive prototypes and tools such as site maps and navigation models;
  • Create designs for web, print, and other media;
  • Work closely with design and development teams to ensure the UX specification is successfully translated into visual design and code.

Minimal qualifications:

  • MSc in User Interaction / Graphical Design or equivalent is preferred and BSc is required;
  • A certificate of completion of a set of online courses like Interaction Design Specialization or User Interface Design Specialization is required (this can be replaced by your BSc or MSc courses).
  • A certificate of completion of a set of online courses like [Agile Development Specialization](Agile Development Specialization) or similar is required.
  • A certificate of completion of a course like Product Management with Lean, Agile and System Design Thinking (edX) or other Lean Product Development-related course is preferred.
  • You should demonstrate a completed, delivered, shipped and live mobile application (Google Play, Apple Store) or a web application (single page application, classic CRUD application or a progressive web app) which you have planned, prepared, developed and created a UX and/or UI design for. This can be complemented with other design artifacts like personas documents, user and job stories, paper and high-fidelity prototypes, etc.

Workplace requirements

Remote and distributed teams enjoy great flexibility in terms of where from and when the team members do their work. You can even work with your laptop from a beach in Thailand, but it is very important that the workplace conditions stay reliable and uninterrupted. All remote team members in Tunnll are required to organize their workplaces to meet the following requirements:

  • The workplace should be a single, ideally separated room with no interruptions by noises, other people, etc.
  • To allow uninterrupted video calls, a headset/microphone with a noise cancellation feature should be used.
  • The workplace should be connected to a stable high-speed internet connection (at least 100 MB/s) ideally backed up with a secondary connection for redundancy.
  • The working computer should have at least 16GB of RAM for engineers and designers and at least 8GB for the rest of roles.
  • The working computer should be properly maintained on a regular basis (security updates, disk cleanup, antivirus checks, dust cleaning, etc.).

Remote or not?

Tunnll is a 100% remote-friendly workplace, but if your preference is teamwork in a modern and comfortable office in a great location, we would be glad to accommodate you in one of our focus locations (currently Barcelona, Spain and Sweden/UK coming soon).
